Drawing the human figure

Drawing the human figure.
The complicated human form (women are more difficult to draw than men, for me) can sometimes seem like a titanic challenge for artists. For instance, when you do a duty, it becomes much more controllable if you break it up in pieces instead of trying to do it all at once. I start drawing the different parts of the body with small cylinders, blocks, small pieces, and circles. Learning to draw a nude model in a life drawing class is the ideal, but if this isn't possible, don't give up. You can still learn to draw without a model. If you want to do fast sketches while you’re reading or watching TV, ask any of your friends to model for you. Your pet may be a right model for this assignment. Check the small sketch to see how I started this illustration.
